Problems Entering PIN Code

If you have started the vehicle and tried to select gear without entering the pin code then the vehicle will have stalled. Engine restart is now not possible. If this has happened the Ghost is now set to Start Inhibit. 

To start the vehicle, proceed EXACTLY as follows: 

1. 1. Ensure the vehicles ignition has been off for at least 10 seconds. 
   2. Put your FEET Flat on the Floor. 
   3. Wait 10 seconds. 
   4. Do not touch the brake pedal. 
   5. Press the Engine Start button to turn the ignition on so FULL dash lights are displayed, airbag light and engine management etc. 
   6. Enter your normal disarm code. 
   7. Confirm double flash or beep for acceptance of code. 
   8. Put foot on Brake. 
   9. Press Engine Start button. 
   10. Engine Starts.
   11. When you turn the ignition off, the device will rearm as normal. 

If you are sure you are entering your code correctly and have tried all the steps outlined in this page then please check that the buttons you use for entering your pin code still retain their original function. Such as;

• • If you use front passenger window up button, does the front passenger window switch actually work?
  • If you use the mirror adjuster toggle, does the mirror actually move with it? 
  • If you use the cruise control stalk, does the cruise control actually respond to the button presses when in normal use? 

If the answer to the above is "no they do not retain their original function" then you must now use your emergency pin code. This can be found on the back of the black card that WAS given to you on completion of the installation.  

PLEASE NOTE: If you have lost the black card or cannot find it then your vehicle will require an engineer visit to remove the device. We do not keep a back up of this code so can not assist you over the phone.

Examples of this are as follows: 

• • 2023 Onwards Land Rover / Range Rover - If using mirror buttons, ensure left mirror button is pressed first. 
  • Mitsubishi - If using climate control, ensure climate control is turned on. 
  • Ford Focus Mk3 & Ford Fiesta ST Mk7 - If using mirror buttons, ensure left mirror button is pressed first. 

 SOME examples of vehicles that require this are as follows:

SOME vehicles require you to wait 2 or 3 seconds for the buttons you use for pin entry, to become active. There can be a delay after the ignition is turned on. 

SOME examples of this are as follows: 

• • 2023 Audi RS3 - Wait for the Audi Pre sense warning light to extinguish before entering code.  
  • Ford Transit Custom - Wait for airbag light to extinguish before entering code. 
  • Ford Fiesta MK8 - Wait for airbag light to extinguish before entering code. 
  • Ford Transit Connects - Wait for airbag light to extinguish before entering code. 
  • BMW M5 G Chassis - Wait for 5 seconds if using cruise control buttons. 
  • Ford Mustang - Wait for airbag light to extinguish before entering code. 

You MUST wait a full FIVE seconds between each entry of the pin code. Failure to do so will result in you locking yourself out for longer and longer.
